In which time zone will the Congress be held?

 

The 18-ICML will be held in Central European Summer Time (CEST). Virtual attendees can convert their time zone here.

 

What is the official language of the congress?

 

The official language is English. Translation services are not provided.

 

Will I receive a certificate of attendance?

 

18-ICML participants will be able to download the certificate of attendance from the Conference Platform (“My Profile” section) from Friday 20 June, after having filled out the evaluation form.

 

Is 18-ICML accredited with European CME?

 

18-ICML is not accredited with European CME.

 

Is there an 18-ICML App?

 

A brand-new tool has been introduced for this year’s conference: the official mobile 18-ICML App. Developed to support and enhance the onsite experience, the App offers easy access to the programme, real-time updates and venue navigation tools.

Onsite participants are encouraged to download it to make the most of their time at the event. The 18-The 18-ICML App is available for download here: https://www.icml.ch/icml/congresses/18-icml/18-icml-APP.html

 

When will the on-demand video recordings be available?

 

Each live-streamed session will be available on-demand on the Conference Platform 12 hours after it has been aired live.
Please note that, as requested by some companies, part of the Industry Programme contents and materials may not be available on-demand.

Conference Platform

How can I access live sessions?

 

Live sessions are accessible by clicking on the “Upcoming sessions” buttons from the dashboard of the Conference Platform. Regardless of which session is accessed, if a session is live at that moment, the live session will be displayed.

 

Which contents does the Conference Platform provide?

 

The Conference Platform includes the following contents:

  • Scientific Programme (live and on-demand)
  • Industry Programme (live and *on-demand)
  • E-Poster Gallery, accessible from Wednesday, 18 June at 8:30 CEST to Friday 12 December at 23:59 CET. E-Posters can be viewed full screen or downloaded as pdf documents
  • Rating tool for sessions’ evaluation
  • Q&A/Poll tool
  •  “My Programme” tool to set your own personal calendar and eventually download it on your private agenda
  • Virtual delegate bag
  • Help Desk (one-to-one live chat with ICML staff)
  • Evaluation form
  • On-demand video recordings, available until Friday, 12 December 2025 at 23:59 CET

Where are the on-demand video recordings available?

 

Each live-streamed session will be available on-demand on the Conference Platform 12 hours after it has been aired live.
Please note that, as requested by some companies, part of the Industry Programme contents and materials may not be available on-demand.

 

Which interactive tools are available on the Conference Platform?

 

  • Q&A/Polls tool for the Scientific Programme (according to programme)
  • Q&A/Polls tool for the Satellite symposia (according to programme)
  • 5-star rating tool to evaluate the Scientific Programme (and the Satellite symposia, according to programme)
  • Help Desk: one-to-one live chat with ICML staff (see more details in “Assistance and Support”)
  • "My Programme" tool, which allows participants to set their own personal calendar and eventually download on their personal agenda
  • Venue navigation tools

 

How can I participate in Q&A/Polls?

 

It's possible to participate in Q&A and polls on Conference Platform. Alternatively, it can be accessed with a single click on "Q&A/Polls" from the 18-ICML App, which redirects to MyICML. Questions will be selected by the Chairs and submitted to the speakers.
Questions can also be asked live in the room where the session is taking place, using the available standing microphones.
ICML is a hybrid event and it will live broadcast via the Conference Platform.
If you would rather not appear on video, you are kindly asked to:

  • send your questions via the Conference Platform or 18-ICML App (not using the microphones available in the rooms);
  • choose a seat away from the microphones.

 

Is it possible to create your own Conference schedule?

 

Yes, the "My Programme" tool allows you to save your favourite sessions to your schedule

Technical requirements

What type of equipment is required, and which Internet browser should be used?

 

You can access the platform using any modern device (computer, tablet, or smartphone). For the best experience, we recommend using the latest version of Chrome, Firefox, Safari, or Microsoft Edge.

Please note that outdated browsers may not be supported.

 

Is there any recommendation on the Wi-Fi speed?

 

It is advised that you have a 5 – 10 MB/s connection speed so that live streamed videos run smoothly. You can check your connection here (https://www.speedtest.net).
Please note that live stream bandwidth is automatically adapted to user connectivity by the video player.

 

Is it possible to use a VPN connection?

 

Logging into your VPN when accessing the Conference Platform should be avoided, as this can slow down your bandwidth and impact the live streaming content.

 

Is there any recommendation on Ad Blockers?

 

It is recommended to disable ad blockers that may prevent the loading of content and the opening of new tabs.

 

Can the firewall affect the Conference Platform performance?

 

Firewalls may limit the speed or block some connections. It is recommended to check the connection and do the stream test available in the navigation menu of the Conference Platform (Test your internet connection).

 

What can I do if the resolution of the streaming is not working well?

 

The streaming is automatically adapted to the resolution that your device can ensure. If you want to change the resolution of the streaming manually, you can select the resolution that better suits your device at the bottom of the streaming window.

 

Is it necessary to enable cookies?

 

Session cookies are mandatory.

 

Scientific Programme

Where can I find the Scientific Programme?

 

The Scientific Programme can be found on our website (www.icml.ch), in the 18-ICML App or can be accessed by clicking on the “Scientific Programme” link in the Conference Platform. The Scientific Programme can be filtered by day, by speaker and by session type.
For on-site attendees, the Scientific Programme is also available in printed format (Programme Book).

 

Is there a virtual Poster Gallery?

 

Yes, the “E-Poster Gallery” is accessible from Wednesday, 18 June at 8:30 CEST on the Conference Platform. E-Posters can be filtered by title, by category and by presenter. E-Posters can be viewed full screen or downloaded as pdf documents.

Is there an onsite Poster Area?

Yes, the onsite Poster Area is located in the Marquee Parco Ciani, open on Wednesday, 18 (12:00-18:00), Thursday, 19 (10:00-18:00) and Friday, 20 June (10:00-18:00).

Posters will be on display throughout the conference. Presenters will be available by their poster for Q&A with attendees from 12:30 to 13:00, on:

 

  • Thursday, 19 June (odd-numbered posters)
  • Friday, 20 June (even-numbered posters)
Industry Programme

Where can I find the Industry Programme?

 

The Industry Programme can be found on our website (https://www.icml.ch/icml/congresses/18-icml/industry-program.html
For registered participants only, it can be accessed on the “Satellite Symposia” and the “Meet our Sponsors and Partners” pages in the Conference Platform and in the 18-ICML App.
 

The Symposia will be performed in-person and streamed live. Unless otherwise requested by the organising Company, each live-streamed symposium will be available on-demand 12 hours after it has been aired live and recordings will be available on-demand until Friday, 12 December 2025.
The Symposia will be open to all participants registered to the Conference, but both physical and virtual attendance to each symposium may be restricted by the organising Company's own policies.


For in-person participants, the Exhibition Area is located in Marquee Parco Ciani with the following opening hours:

  • Tuesday, 17 June 14:00 – 18:00
  • Wednesday, 18 June 09:00 – 18:00
  • Thursday, 19 June 09:00 – 18:00
  • Friday, 20 June 09:00 – 18:00

During the Conference days, in-person participants can meet our Industry partners in Villa Ciani (meeting rooms 1-10), Asilo Ciani (meeting rooms 11-17), TINY SPACEs (18-24, located in Asilo Ciani backyard).
 

Conference materials

Where are the Abstract and Educational Books available?

 

The 18-ICML Abstract and Educational Books are supplements to “Haematological Oncology” (John Wiley and Sons, Inc.).  They are available on the ICML website (https://www.icml.ch/icml/congresses/18-icml/Scientific-Publications.html, on the Conference Platform, accessible from the upper menu bar and in the Wiley Online Library (https://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/). For on-site attendees, the Programme Book is also available in printed format.

 

Is it possible to download abstracts and, if yes, how?

 

Yes, you can download abstracts directly from the Wiley Online Library (https://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/), also accessible from the Conference Platform and from the ICML website (https://www.icml.ch/icml/congresses/18-icml/Scientific-Publications.html).

 

 

Is a delegate bag available for participants?

 

For online participants, a virtual delegate bag is accessible from the upper menu bar and provides a complete overview of the Industry Programme. In addition, information and materials on future meetings, educational programmes and scientific publications may be available.
For on-site attendees, after collecting the badge at the Registration or at the self-check-in Desks you may pick up a delegate bag available at the cloakroom, by showing your badge.

Assistance and support

How can I receive assistance?

 

For online participants: A live chat connecting participants to ICML staff is available during the Conference days for any kind of assistance. The live chat icon is displayed on every page of the Conference Platform.

Live chat opening hours:

  • Tuesday 17 to Friday 20 June (07:00 - 19:30)

Out of opening hours, participants will be able to contact us by email using the same chat.

For on-site attendees: the Registration Desk in the main hall of Palazzo dei Congressi is open for any assistance in the following opening hours:

  • Monday, 16 June 08:00 – 19:30
  • From Tuesday, 17 to Friday, 20 June (07:00 – 19:30)
  • Saturday, 21 June (07:00 - 13:00 – the cloakroom will be open until 18:00)

Furthermore, on the same opening days and hours the Transport & Info Desk is available for information concerning the public transport system and the additional transport organised by ICML.
